This is the main clutch unit that works with the Continuous Loop Bead Chain Clutch System. The bead chain rotates the clutch unit which in turn rotates a fiberglass rod that winds and unwinds the lift cord to raise and lower the shade.

 

If you're ordering your clutch system parts individually, then you will need one clutch unit for each roman shade. Most roman shades only need the 15 LB clutch unit. If you have a very wide and very heavy roman shade... over 90"... then you will want the 30 LB clutch unit. Be sure to order the 30 LB rod support brackets to go with it.
