The clutch system rod bracket is designed to work with the soft shade clutch system. It is the piece that holds the fiberglass rod across your shade and supports the weight of your roman shade. If you are ordering your clutch system parts individually, then you will need one support bracket for each interior lift cord. If you are making a relaxed roman shade with only 2 cords, then you will need 2 support brackets. Make sure you order the 15 LB support brackets for the 15 LB clutch unit and the 30 LB support brackets with the 30 LB clutch unit. The system will give you everything you need to assemble a clutch system for your custom roman shade.
